

Wolverhampton Teenage Pregnancy
Several agencies work with young people across the city offering:
• Prevention programmes in schools and youth venues
• Contraception and sexual health advice and information
• Information for parents of teenagers
• Free pregnancy testing
• Free condom distribution
• Discussion on pregnancy choices
The team also gives support and advice for pregnant teenagers and teenage parents
(including dads) on: housing, benefits, education, training, parenting, childcare (finding
and paying for it) and any other issues related to teenage pregnancy and parenthood
All services are free and confidential.
Where can I go for a pregnancy test?
If the young person has had unprotected sex or thinks their contraception may have
failed and their period is a few days late, a pregnancy test may be needed. The
following organisations offer free pregnancy testing;

Where can I go for emergency contraception?
If the young person has had unprotected sex or you think your contraception may have
failed then Emergency Contraception needs to be taken as soon as possible and within
120 hours (5 days). It can be obtained free of charge from

What Can I do if I am pregnant?
Confidential advice, information and support are available for a young woman to
discuss choice;
